My name is Amirah Akintoye, and I’ve spent over 30 years in the beauty industry and more than 20 years as a salon owner. My journey began behind the chair, working one-on-one with clients, learning their hair, their struggles, their goals, and their stories. Over the decades, I’ve developed a deep understanding of ethnic hair care, texture, scalp health, and the real challenges women face every single day.

I hold professional cosmetology licenses in both Los Angeles, California, and a Senior Cosmetology License in Maryland. I’ve trained with top educators around the world, studying advanced cutting, coloring, and global hair techniques. Staying up to date in the industry isn’t just a choice for me — it’s a standard. I consistently attend trainings, masterclasses, and international courses to ensure my clients receive the best.

In addition to my beauty experience, I also earned a degree in Business, which has helped me build a career rooted in professionalism, service, and integrity.

Why I Started This Store

After decades of salon work, I saw the same problem over and over again:
